En la década de los 70’s el guitarrista inglés JOHN McLAUGHLIN y su MAHAVISHNU ORCHESTRA revolucionaron la escena musical, al fusionar el Rock y el Jazz con sonidos orientales, provenientes de India. En este Doble-CD, titulado “Mahavishnu Re-Defined”, músicos como MITCHEL FORMAN, GARY HUSBAND, NGUYEN LE, JIM BEARD, MARK EGAN, DENNIS CHAMBERS, VINNIE COLAIUTA, DAVID FIUCZYNSKI, BOB MALACH, JOHN PATITUCCI, TINO DI GERALDO o JON HERINGTON, entre muchos otros, les riden tributo interpretando algunos de sus temas legendarios como “Thousand Island Park”, “Sancturary”, “Open Country Joy”, “Trilogy” o “Meeting of the Spirits”
